Criteria:
Service members must be a Descendant of Barent Newkirk (1689–1765). and a Newkirk, a spouse of a Newkirk, or a child of a Newkirk that has served in the US Military. For the purposes of this website, that includes the regular branches of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, Reserves, State Militias, Merchant Marines, and the various Military Nursing Organizations. It also includes Union and Confederates of the Civil War.
